Mission

The department animates, coordinates and controls the academic activities in Physiology, Biochemistry and Nutrition. As such, it is responsible for the development of curricula, implementation and follow-up of teaching and research programs. In addition, it provides academic management of exams and other knowledge assessments.

  1. Pharmacology: This includes studies of pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic and bioavailability of the most promising plant extracts and natural compounds using animal models.
  2. Toxicology: This includes the toxicity studies (acute, sub-acute and sub-chronic) of the most promising plant extracts and compounds using animal and cell models in order to prepare for the clinical assay in human.
